New
Jersey Shark Fishing
The
Mary Lou Crew takes great pride in their ability to catch
sharks, and our record speaks for itself. We feel that when
it comes to shark fishing in New Jersey, we have a little
edge on most of the charter boats out there. The crew of the
boat is also avid deer hunters and for those of you that don’t
know what it takes to be a good shark hunter, the first and
foremost is patience.
Shark fishing does take a lot of this, and we have what it
takes to catch these toothy creators. The most sought after
of all sharks is the mako shark and the New Jersey waters
is the place to find these as well as other sharks..
The
Mary Lou Crew has caught their share of these sharks and we
continue to catch these very aggressive yet extremely elusive
sharks. Mako sharks are the ultimate game fish and can be
located by an experienced captain and crew. They are capable
of bursts of speed of up to 60 mph, and can leap 20 feet in
the air. There are other species of sharks located in our
waters during the fishing season; they are blue sharks and
thresher. The chances of catching one of these are as good
if not better then catching a mako.
Shark fishing in New Jersey ranges from 15 miles to 50 miles
offshore, but aboard
the Mary Lou Crew we reach these grounds with much ease and
comfort. The Mary Lou Crew fishes in New Jerseys top shark
tournaments, these tournaments include: Mako Mania, Jersey
Coast Shark Tournament, and one of the largest shark tournaments
on the East Coast, South Jersey Shark Tournament located in
Cape May New Jersey.
In 2004 the Mary Lou Crew caught in the South Jersey Tournament
23 sharks in two days! If shark fishing is something you have
always dreamed of trying, then there is no need to look any
further then the Mary Lou Crew.
